The Orbit & Dome Roof Stage is designed for mid-sized to large outdoor events for crowds up to 20,000 people.

It has a Keder roof system, built on a Layher event deck base. The roof trusses are assembled using
lightweight aluminium lattice beams and can be built in either 12m, 15m, 16m or 18m widths, with a
typical depth of 10m however the depth of stage is modular so can go as large as 14m.

This stage comes with a Layher stage platform, load-in ramp and access stairs and has
a load capacity of 1,000kg per arch and 2,000kg per double arch (12m, 15m & 16m).

The Build time for the Orbit would be 3 days up 2 days down (18m), 2 days up 1 day down (15m & 16m).
This stage is extremely resilient and can be built on most angles and surfaces with no cranes required,

ORBITAL STAGE HISTORY

The Orbit stage was originally designed by Mr. George Wemyss during the Cold War as an aircraft hangar
and storage facilities for the military so they were designed to withstand both high and low temperatures
and strong wind speeds. This design has been tried and tested for over 30 years

These towers are used to accommodate Sound & Lighting consoles with their engineers they are Modular with widths in 2.0m or 2.5m increments & Modular depths in 2.0m increments. These utilise Layher stage platforms & any number of decked levels. We also have eyebrows for weather protection. Standard build time would be half a day.

Frequently Asked Questions

This depends on how much equipment is required and the location of the site for delivery however the basic Orbit Stage package starts at £15,000 per day although additional days do not require set up so would not cost as much each day.

Cranes are not required for erection of the Orbit stage although a Telehandler and Cherry Picker is required however we can provide the plant equipment at an additional cost.

Our stages are covered from the elements however during the rain this will not stop all water entering the stage area. With adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain with strong winds this may make the stage unusable due to health and safety this would also apply to winds over 20 meters per second (45mph) which would be measured via the supplied weather monitoring equipment.

The Orbit stage alone would take approximately 2 days to erect & 1 day to dismantle by our skilled team.

Grass is most preferable however concrete is also suitable although the Orbit stage is extremely resilient and can be built on most angles and surfaces with no cranes required.
